Welcome

Encouraged to write at an early age by my grandfather, I have loved the written word for as long as I can remember.

I was born in South Wales towards the end of World War II; I remember bombed out buildings, the smell of fear, ration books, and the camaraderie and strength of the women around me. I have always been proud to be working-class - with a heartfelt respect for close communities.

I approached the World Wide Web with some trepidation, but here I am; and if you are here too, then we are a community.
